New Member Registration takes place the second Sunday of each month after the 10:00 Mass or by appointment. Please contact us if you have any questions on becoming a member of St. Peter Claver Parish.

Becoming A Catholic

Interested in becoming a Catholic? Persons who have never been baptized receive the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist). Persons baptized in another Christian tradition complete their initiation with the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist. Adults follow the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) and children follow the RCIC (Rite of Christian Initiation for Children). A person can enter the process when they perceive God's call. The various stages and rites extend over a lengthy period of time. The exact amount of time is dependent upon the person's individual faith journey.
